More Florida Adventures!

Hi!  Greetings again from Miss Judy in Florida!  I have some more photos for you.  Enjoy!!!

God shows us His presence in things all around us!

Look where the high tide left all the shells!
Look at all the pelicans on this roof.
Can you find the dolphin?
A boy found a starfish on the beach one night.

The next morning, this starfish was on top of these shells.  This is one side...
...and this is the other side of it.
A sandcastle!
Some of these shells are coming home with me to show you next month!

I love sunsets!
Sandpipers looking for food.
That is a LOT of shells!  See how any of them are broken.

I really like the white markings on the black feathers of this bird.

Another dolphin!
Oh, no!  Stingrays right by the shore!
Stingrays like shallow, tranquil, warm water.  One might sting you with its poisonous barb on the top of his tail if you step on him or bother him.
This bird is taking flight!
Another sandcastle!
That's my sister-in-law Hannah.  I took this photo so you could see how tall these sandcastles are in Florida!

Can you see the young girl doing a cartwheel on the beach?
A man caught a small fish!
Another man is reeling in his fish.
He caught a LOT of fish on this day!
Another day at the beach, another sandcastle!  I think this one is my favorite!

Introduction to the Gulf of Mexico

Hi!  This is Miss Judy's Florida website just for you!  I miss you all!  I have been having a lot of fun. I wanted to share some pictures and a video with you.

Miss Sonia or Miss Carla will show you where you are on the map and where I am on the map!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary several weeks ago.

These palm trees are right outside our condo's lanai (screen-in porch).

My husband is seated in the middle.  The man and woman on either side of him are his brother and sister-in-law. They are staying with us in Florida.

Many nights we go to the beach at sunset.

Every night the sunset looks different!
One day we visited Naples Botanical Garden.  This is a coconut tree.
I thought you might like to see this funny-looking tree at the botanical garden!

I am picking up shells for you.  I will bring them to your classroom when I return in April.

I love pelicans!!!
Every early morning for a few hours, a large group of birds gather at one end of the beach and face the same direction.
This is a snowy egret.
This is a pelican.
These are royal terns.

There are so many shells on Florida beaches!
The pelicans like to hang out by the fishermen, just in case the fishermen will give them some fish to eat!

This pelican is swallowing a fish!

This colorful parrot was at the Naples Zoo.
These alligators were also at the zoo.

Another sunset at the beach!
I love this photo!  The boy is about your age.  He was playing wiffle ball with his daddy just as the sun was setting.

Pelicans love sitting up high.
This pelican is just stretching his wings.
This fisherman caught a small flat-nosed shark!
Do you see the shark's shadow in the sand?

We had visitors and took them to the beach for a cookout.  We eat suppers at the beach at least twice a week.

It was a very windy day when we visited another Florida beach.
Windy days at the beach are fun!  The waves are very, very big!
Crashing waves!
Waves, waves, everywhere!

We were in a pontoon boat out in the Gulf of Mexico when I took this photo of a Florida beach.
Now we are in the Bay of Estero.  I forgot to pack my sunscreen for this boat ride.  I am wearing a jacket so I will not get a sunburn.

These pelicans greeted us when our boat returned to the dock.

Finally, if Miss Sonia or Miss Carla can get YouTube to work at school, here is a VIDEO for you to enjoy!
